IndiaFM's Taran Adarsh has been honored by two leading media houses of India!

As part of celebrating 60 years of Indian independence, CNN-IBN the leading news channel of India is instituting ''CNN-IBN Indian of the Year'', the Biggest Award in Indian News Television. The award honors the finest Indians by recognizing the Indians whose contribution to the country in 2006 has strengthened the foundation of our society and has helped build Brand India in the process.

The ''CNN-IBN Indian of the Year'' award categories are as follows:

CNN-IBN Indian of the Year - Politics
CNN-IBN Indian of the Year - Business
CNN-IBN Indian of the Year - Sports
CNN-IBN Indian of the Year - Entertainment
CNN-IBN Indian of the Year - NRI
CNN-IBN Indian of the Year - Public Service

Taran Adarsh has been chosen by the CNN-IBN management to be a part of the elite Electoral College, comprising 250 contemporary Indian leaders, to select the individual they think is most worthy, from the award categories listed above. The ''CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2006'' will be declared and the award given away at a grand event in New Delhi on 6th February, 2007.

Besides CNN-IBN, Taran Adarsh was also on the jury panel of the esteemed The Week magazine for the award 'Emerging Indians'. The results will be announced soon.
