Studio 18 London Office Takes Off From Jan 2007

Close on the heels of the announcement that Studio 18 would be setting up its London & New York offices for international marketing & Distribution, the London office is all set to take off from January 2007.

The New York office will be up and running by end-January and there are many more new appointments which are due in the International Distribution Division of Studio 18.

London office would be headed by Tanuj Garg who would be responsible for the marketing and distribution of produced and acquired films for the UK, besides chalking out potential projects and proposals for production for Studio 18.

Earlier associated with UTV as its business and marketing head for the UK and Ireland, Garg is currently a columnist with the Financial Express and has also been associated with many print publications for close to eight years as a critic, columnist and guest writer. Prior to joining UTV, he worked in project development at Birla Group's Applause Entertainment.

Studio 18 has entered into a co production deal with Shree Ashtavinayak Films for four films in next two years. The deal will mark an investment of 100 crores. The filmmakers that have been signed in this deal are Priyadarshan Hera Pheri, Malamaal Weekly, Bhagam Bhaag Abbas Mastan Aitraaz, Ajnabee, Rohit Shetty Golmaal and Neeraj Vora Phir Hera Pheri.
