Shwaas Actor Arun Nalawade Turns Director

Marathi stage actor Arun Nalawade, who played the role of the sympathy-seeking grandfather in the Marathi film Shwaas - India's official entry to the Oscars in 2004, has turned director with the Marathi film Sri Siddhivinayak Mahima.

Nalawade informed that he always wanted to become a director and after having an experience of 35 years in acting, he is all set to make his debut in direction now. Based on four independent stories of devotees of Siddhivinayak, the movie will also be based on some real life experiences. He is planning to shoot his film at the Siddhivinayak Temple as well as in Lonavala and other places in Maharashtra.

Ace singer Asha Bhosale who was present for the Muhurat of his film also sung an aarti for the film.
