Films to her credit include Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Ardh Satya, Parinda, 1942: A Love Story, Bandit Queen, Godmother and her last film being Calcutta Mai. She had won 4 National Awards as well as a couple of Filmfare awards before passing away in 2000 due to stomach cancer.
