The film cleared the censor board with a 'U' certificate and will have a post Diwali release. Interestingly, Water will be released in India by Ravi Chopra. John Abraham who is currently, working on Ravi Chopra's Baabul also stars in Water. He therefore, urged Mr. Chopra to watch the film. Apparently, Ravi Chopra liked the film so much that he decided to market it in India.
