One keeps hearing of Indian censors clearing a film with 3/4/5 or more cuts, depending on what they perceive as objectionable in the film. But rarely, in fact very rarely, does a film gets past with a 'U' certificate Universal exhibition, with not a single cut. In the recent past, Priyadarshan's BHAGAM BHAG was okayed by the Central Board of Film Certification with 'U' certificate and no cuts and now Vidhu Vinod Chopra's EKLAVYA - THE ROYAL GUARD has followed suit. It has been passed with a 'U' certificate and no cuts.

Incidentally, Chopra returns to direction after a gap of seven years, after MISSION KASHMIR. Will EKLAVYA go the LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI way at the ticket window, only time will tell. The film hits the screens on 16th February.
