Bollywood's favourite fashion gurus have never ceased to make the most of their star status. Every year sees the launch of branded apparel stores by celebrity designers and socialites. This year has been no different from the rest.

Designer Anna Singh is all set to unveil her store on January 13th at Hughes Road, Mumbai. It has been named "Anna Singh - The Trademark Store”. Reportedly, many socialites have been taking rounds of her workshop in Bandra. Her work has been so adored that orders have started coming in even before the official launch of her store.

Manish Malhotra also came up with his flagship store at Mumbai's suburb last month. The glitzy launch event saw all of Mumbai's who's who. Manish's celebrity friends were present, including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Preity Zinta, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. Designers Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis, Surily Goel and Anna Singh also decided to grace the occasion.

Another designer store that recently cropped up in the city is "Sasha” - by Mamta Raja. The stunning ex-model has set up elite couture, prêt, and accessories in the pricey store named after her daughter. An excited Mamta Raja said, "Every piece of accessory is exclusive which includes precious stones, shells and sometimes even diamonds on special requests.”

Although these stores are hardly affordable by commoners, they have received a warm welcome from Mumbai's celebrity circuit, and always hold aspiration-value for quintessential Bollywood buffs.
