The Train
''The Train'' has taken a super-fast route by zipping past all the albums and has reached #1 spot within 3 weeks of debuting in the charts. Mithoon now has a first chart topping album to his name with each of the tracks currently on air - ''Woh Ajnabee'', ''Mausam'' and ''Beete Lamhein'' - getting good audience response. Sayeed Quadri continues his successful run while a certain Mr. Hashmi can be secretly seen grinning from ear to ear!

Life In A ..Metro
Rock steady at #2, ''Metro'' is an album that has got its place in the top quite quickly and would continue to remain in and around the same spot for many more weeks to come. An album like ''Metro'' has an advantage of boasting of timeless songs that are not dependent upon a movie''s run and have enough ammunition in them to be played on for months and years to come.
''The Train'' has overtaken it to reach the top spot while ''Aap Kaa Surroor'' could be a serious contender in a fortnight''s time. ''Metro'' would have to sustain its good pace to retain itself in Top-3.

Namastey London
Moving down by a couple of spots, ''Namastey London'' steps down from its #1 position. Still, it has enjoyed an overall good run considering the fact that a it came a little late on the stands, b the movie got delayed a little due to which the album had to sustain itself for a longer period of time and c audience was somewhat biased in the beginning due to misconception that Himesh would have repeated himself yet again this album!

Anwar
Dance of ''Anwar'' around the mid-chart position continues as yet again it jumps to the other side of the fence and renters Top-5. Mithoon sees a kick start to his musical career with two of his albums dominating the charts from the top.
Most of the tracks by Pankaj Awasthi are harsh on ears

Ek Chalis Ki Last Local
ECKLL is showing a slow and steady approach as it debuts in Top-5 after being on stands for around 6 weeks. While ''Laree Choote'' is primarily responsible for the success of the film''s soundtrack, Ankur Tiwari''s ''Bheegi Seeli Si'' is catching up well too. A musical score that only promises to sound better once the film releases.
Since the movie has been postponed, it is always a challenging task to sustain the buzz and hype

Kya Love Story Hai
Maintaining its position in the middle of the charts, ''Kya Love Story Hai'' lives on for yet another week. The question is - for how long? Also, it''s just not fair that the album was heard mainly for ''It''s Rocking'' when it had at least two other notable tracks - ''Ae Khuda'' and ''Jeena Kya Tere Bina''.
It''s a pity that the film has bombed otherwise Pritam''s music had good potential to spread it''s wings further for many more weeks

Ta Ra Rum Pum
Not helping it''s cause much even in the week of the film release, ''Ta Ra Rum Pum'' can now be confirmed as one of those rare Yash Raj Films'' soundtracks that hasn''t quite clicked. After an ordinary start, its only chance was the film to do very well with word of mouth helping the music to grow on.
Surprisingly, after the film''s release the music is being called as weak which is not the case that has only acted as a dampener for Vishal & Shekhar.

Guru
Seeing the biggest fall of the week, ''Guru'' is down by as many as 4 spots. On the other hand, the DVDs of ''Guru'' are selling like hot cakes hence making the film most in-demand amongst the film buffs.
''Ek Lo Ek Muft'' and ''Baazi Laga''

Shakalaka Boom Boom
Surprise of the week! In spite of new albums like ''Good Boy Bad Boy'', ''Raqeeb'', ''Fool N Final'' and ''Shoot Out At Lokhandwala'' hitting the stands, the album that manages to find a place for itself yet again is none other than ''Shakalaka Boom Boom''. The movie may have been down and out within 2 weeks of its release but Himesh Reshammiya proves once again that he knows in majority of cases a thing or two about popular music!
It''s an agreed fact that the music wasn''t extraordinary but poor run of the movie killed its prospects too which could have been much larger in supportive environment

New
Aap Kaa Surroor
Himesh Reshammiya''s soundtrack for his film ''Aap Kaa Surroor'' may have been on stands for less than a week but it is the only new album to have made a mark for itself after ''The Train''. Debuting at #10, the music is bound to go way up in a matter of fortnight. While ''Tanhaaiyan'' was a hit when aired first 4 months back, ''Assalaam Walekum'' is catching up with hardcore masses too.
Nothing but the moon was expected from this soundtrack considering the fact that this was composer/singer Himesh Reshammiya''s debut film as a leading man. Due to this the album may disappoint a few who may be expecting an out of the world experience in AKS.
