''Chak De Phatte''! Himesh Reshammiya does it with ''Namaste London'' which hasn''t been able to do with his last 5-7 albums. Finally his music sits pretty at numero uno spot as both music and film compliment each other''s success and turn into universal success.
The album had a slow but steady journey towards the top in a bid to find an audience for it. Nevertheless, the wait has been worth it!

''Salaam E Ishq'' always had competition at the top. Barely a week after it had moved to #1 spot after leaving behind ''Guru'', it''s closest competitor over the weeks, it now finds the spot taken over by ''Namaste London''. The tussle continues, though it seems unlikely that it would be able to regain the top spot!

After the release of the album, it had seemed that Maiyya Maiyya'' would be THE song which would ensure a blockbuster status of the album. Though the song in itself didn''t quite scale the heights as was expected, collectively the tunes by Rahman worked quite well for the album to ensure that the music of ''Guru'' is heard for months at stretch.

It is getting a little baffling now. In spite of the film coming, making history and exiting from the theaters, the music still continues to sell. And it wasn''t even the case of a slow start resulting in a move towards top for ''Dhoom 2''; it has always been in Top-5!
YRF is escalating the promotion of their upcoming musical ''Ta Ra Rum Pum'' which should make for an interesting battle in the charts for their own two productions

Anwar
Mithoon has reasons to smile. While his ''Anwar'' has enjoyed its stint in the charts and has been doing consistent business over the months, he would soon have another contender for Top-5 with the arrival of ''The Train'' around mid-April. Reports indicate that it would be another feather in the cap for the young musician.

Moving up by a couple of spots, the album is now sighting a position in Top-5. Each of the 6 tracks in the album literally rock with ''Alvida'' ruling the roost. An exceptional effort by Pritam, it has all in it to be termed as a classic in years to come.
It would take some time to pick up amongst that segment of audience that longs for routine romantic numbers

Though SLBB has just managed to retain its #7 spot, it won''t be surprising to see it going a further up as the film releases today. Highlight of the album are 5 short tracks that make for a music competition in the film. Once seen on the big screen, they should be catching quite a few eyeballs and result in escalation in music sales.
Initially, music listeners were unsure about what did Reshammiya has to offer in the album

There has been a sudden movement in the album sales of ''Kya Love Story Hai'', courtesy Kareena Kapoor and Alisha Chinoy who have literally rocked the show along with Pritam in ''It''s Rocking''. While other tracks in the album too have a peppy feel to them, ''It''s Rocking'' should turn out to be anchor track for the album.
Don''t expect an out of the box, pseudo-different score here. The film is a young love story and the music only compliments the setting.

Debuting at #9 in the first week of its release, ''Ta Ra Rum Pum'' by Vishal Shekhar is their second offering for the Yash Raj banner after ''Salaam Namaste''. Title song, followed by ''Hey Shona'', are the ones to place your bets on.
Though overall the album is a decent to good hear, there is no ''chartbuster'' variety number that could be the USP of TRRP to make it rock the nation.

Don - The Chase Begins Again
''Don'' continues to oscillate hence making the music sales as mysterious as the character himself! Jumping between the middle and the bottom spots, ''Don'' again finds itself at #10. It doesn''t have any immediate threat though since the big ones would start arriving from mid-April onwards.
