Guru
Everything is going in favor of 'Guru' with the film turning out to be most successful of all this year, whether it's the theatrical run, music charts and now even the film's original DVDs that have arrived on the stands. Will YRF's 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' dethrone 'Guru' from this enviable position?
'Ek Lo Ek Muft' and 'Baazi Laga'

Salaam-E-Ishq
ORION MAD production house may not have seen a commercial box office success with SEI but musically the film has turned out to be huge for them. After 'Tere Naam', a film produced by them, which remained in the charts for almost 100 weeks, SEI too is following suit.

Dhoom 2
YRF have got it just right. In the trend of music of at least one of the films occupying the top position in the charts, 'Dhoom 2' is sustaining itself well. Next comes 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' and a slew of number of other musicals ending with Madhuri Dixit's 'Aaja Nachley' by year end. The year will truly begin and end with YRF musicals.
If it wasn't for 'Crazy' and 'Dhoom Again', the album may have struggled to make a mark

Namastey London
Peaking around the release of the film, 'Namastey London' has now moved up by a position. With the film inviting very good reviews all over and World Cup fever expected to subside due to India's near certain chances of a premature exit, audience is finally expected to look back at good old Bollywood movies and music as entertainment. This Himesh Reshammiya album is certain to rise further in next fortnight.
A segment of audience without listening to the entire album is still under the wrong impression that the music of 'Namastey London' is yet another trademark Reshammiya score. Well, that's far from true!

Anwar
'Composer Mithoon and lyricist Sayeed Quadri are certain to shine for the first half of the year at the least. While their collaboration has made 'Anwar' a huge musical success, April would see their 'The Train' releasing that has Emraan Hasmi as the lucky mascot when it comes to a musical. The composer-lyricist duo is in for some more applause!
Most of the tracks by Pankaj Awasthi are harsh on ears

Water
Though 'Water' is a box office washout pun intended in India, the music has found an audience for itself all of a sudden. Though there has hardly been any promotion of the film's music, Oscar news about the film coupled with some genuinely soothing tracks by Rahman have ensured that music lovers pick up the album from the stands based on just the credits.
The music won't heat up the music market in a big way but is being liked by the connoisseurs of good music

SLBB
Finally there is some push in the sales of SLBB as the album shows an improvement over last week by moving up a couple of spots. There are number of good songs in the film and if the promotion is even more aggressive in coming fortnight, SLBB has all in it to move into the Top-5 of the charts.
The problem remains same as the one that was faced by 'Namastey London' for the first few weeks of it's arrival; which is misconception around what Reshammiya has to offer.

HTPL
Just like the movie is consistent at the box office, even the music continues to do so though on the lower side. The album has everything from fusion to tango to soft numbers to make it stand out amidst the crowd.
Except for 'Sajnaji Vari Vari', none of the other songs in the film reached the chartbuster status though 'Halke Halke ' deserved to

Don - The Chase Begins Again
Jumping down by 4 spots and threatening to march out of the stands quite suddenly, 'Don' stays on due to lack of any worthwhile competition and actually moves up by a spot.

Woh Lamhe
None of the 6 new releases, 'Kya Love Story Hai', '1:40 Ki Last Local', 'Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee', 'Khanna & Iyer', 'Hat Trick' or 'Delhi Heights' have made any impression whatsoever at the music stands hence allowing the old war hero like 'Woh Lamhe' to stay on and enjoy it's success!
